newlife

New Life Academy meets in Mt. Juliet each Monday from September to May. Classes are provided for Kindergarten thru 12th grade students. The K-6th grade classes are structured as a cooperative. The 7th-12th grade classes are fee based and are instructed by a tutor-teacher.

New Life Academy partners with Christian parents desiring to enhance or extend home education. Significant parent involvement is vital to student success. We require families perform the supervision and extension of class instruction, actively attend a local church, and be registered with an umbrella school under the Tennessee Home Education Law.

New Life Academy is a non-profit organization.  All New Life members are non-paid volunteers.  New Life classes are administered by a committee, members of which are non-elected and non-paid.

Support Group

In addition to the structured classes for students, New Life Academy has a support group for our families. A variety of activities are planned throughout the year for families to participate in (including a Kick-Off Picnic, Christmas Craft Day, Spelling Bee, Science Fair, Field Day, and many others). Each family is asked to assist in the planning of at least 2 activities throughout the year. P.I.E.S. (Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, Spiritual) support meetings are scheduled monthly for our moms. These events are a time of refreshing, sharing and fellowship.

MTHEA

New Life Academy members must obtain membership with Middle Tennessee Home Education Association (MTHEA) and membership must be renewed every year. This provides New Life Academy with a tax-exempt status and insurance. The annual fee is currently $35.00. This will also provide you with a monthly newsletter, Jonathan's Arrow, that is filled with information on homeschool happenings in and around Middle Tennessee. For more information and to obtain membership information visit www.MTHEA.org.
